Welcome to Igi's TV Newsblog

Igi's TV Newsblog is the humanized component of Igi's TV Network within numerous multimedia news sharing services.

In contrast to our seven video streams and further timelines (read more below), which contain basically feeded third party content, on Igi's TV Newsblog we are exclusively publishing handpicked news and stories, recent as well as general, just stuff we personally like and want to share with you. Besides, we posted our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer in the timeline and are providing you with any information about new features and services within Igi's TV Network.

To become familiar with the entire Igi's TV Network, also visit Igi's TV Navigation page, our Twitter, MeMe, Identi.ca, Jaiku and Facebook pages, get informed about Igi's TV Events and take a look at our Igi's TV Shop at Amazon.

Via Friendfeed, we bundled over sixty different YouTube channels of providers auch as Associated Press, Reuters, CBS, Foxsports and others into seven video streams:
Igi's TV News, Igi's TV Economy, Igi's TV Sports, Igi's TV Showbiz, Igi's TV Travel, Igi's TV Lifestyle and Igi's TV Tips.

In case you have any concerns, please sign up at Aardvark and join our humanized support group.

We reduced the amount of daily tweets

Since we discovered more frequent issues with our Igi’s TV Twitter account, we decided to reduce the amount of tweets drastically.

It happened three times within two weeks that our feeds, which are sent to Twitter from our Friendfeed promotion channel, haven’t been posted. We still appear in the Twitter’s search results, means they did not dump us, but maybe they gave us penalties for violating any of their rules. What could be the reason(s)?

1.) Twitter maintains our account? We just opened a new Twitter account for a client of us and we saw that they are working on the admin area, means we could be affected by this.

2.) We are posting via RSS? Well - pretty much every professional twitterer does this here and there, however, according to their rules it is kind of on the limit of their rules. To make one thing clear, we are not spamming at all, on the contrary, our tweets are leading to such source who provide the best and most recent content available on the entire Internet. Igi’s TV is what Twitter is supposed to mean: It transmits the most current information of what’s going on in the world.

3.) We are using Tweetadder to auto follow other users? We are doing this since about ten days in a very decent way. Actually Tweetadder is a popular (btw. very well done) software, accepted by Twitter and we are making our experience with it. For sure we are looking for more followers, but we want mainly followers, who really like Igi’s TV as a service. We are not follower collectors, even though as a principle we follow everybody back who is actively tweeting. To follow people by using software is also kind of against the twitter rules, but again - most professional twitters use or used it. Who can manage 100.000 followers manually?

Anyway, we do not want to waste or time with guessing what might have been the reason why our feeds do not work. What we recommend in general is the following:

Visit one of our 7 timelines (@friendfeed) by doing the following:

Enter (write) in your browser news.igistv.com, economy.igistv.com, sports.igistv.com, showbiz.igistv.com, lifestyle.igistv.com, travel.igistv.com or tips.igistv.com

These are subdomains of our main domain igistv.com. By using this lead-from-subdomain concept you can find all our social network domains and for sure all our other domains as well. Just enter (in the browser text bar) e.g. facebook.igistv.com, twitter.igistv.com, newsblog.igistv.com, help.igistv.com, shop.igistv.com - means NameOfSocialNetwork.igistv.com or KindOfService.igistv.com and you will be led to the associated site or page (for sure only in case we offer or are represented at a particular service or social network).

We will have some other new services once the new Website is posted. Curious? Have a look at the current state of the Igi’s TV New Website (please notice that some links might not be working yet)
